WEB 2.0 TOOLS IN "LEARNING TO MANAGE
MY OWN RESTAURANT" ETWINNING PROJECT
Hello everyone !
Today I am going to talk about the web 2.0 tools used in our project.
Our student and we as teachers really enjoyed and learned great tools in this project. By the way, I started to use some of them in my school lessons. They are awesome. To me, they all can give you creative ideas for both your eTwinning projects and other general things
So, here we go. Let's go one by one
1) We started with Scribble maps while showing the map of the participating countries
2) We used Postermywall for preparing a "Safety on the Net" poster
3) While coding, we applied to Scratch.mit.edu. Our student introduced themselves and explained why they used the internet via coding
4) For the introduction page, our students used makeameme.org. They described themselves and said their favourite kitchen tool thorugh making memes
5) While making logos, my students mostly used Canva. It is great way to prepare logos
6) For the Forum section, they first talked and under the topics and one of the students in each team designed the covid protocol by using Jamboard. Jamboard gives an interactive insight for your projects.
7) In "Managing our restaurant" page, you see an interactive poster made with Genially.
8) In the "Restaurant specific vocabulary" page, you must solve a puzzle related to the specific vocabulary of restaurant. And here we use wordwall.net
8) In the "Restaurant specific vocabulary in French" page, you see a puzzle made with Learningapps.org. It is really good and useful. I use it for my lessons, as well.
9) For the "Parts of a restaurant"section, there are great tools such as Flashcard.online, genial.ly, and floorplanner.com. Our students designed very creative restaurant plans with them
10) In "Seeking for a waiter/waitress" page, our students designed a poster with the features they want for their restaurants. They also used Postermywall here
11) Similarly, they designed a cook job poster with the same programme.
12) While desgining the "Covid protocol" page, a visual with "Nombre animados" is used. This page related to Forum section and we used Jamboard here, as said before
13) For 25th November page, our students designed a poster about ending violence against women. They used Canva again here
14) In order to prepare Christmas/Winter time menus, our pupils applied to Canva to prepare menus from their countries.
15) To prepare "Calendar an best wishes" page, our students used Wincalendar.com, ilovepdf.com or myadvent.net. In the end, they made up with creative and nice calendars!
16) So as to create three characteristic a waiter must have, our students used Powtoon and prepared videos
17) In"Different menus" page, the students prepared seven days menu for their restaurant. And they used Madmagz.com and Flipsnack.com
18) In "Sir/madam.. your bills" page, our students prepared payment tickets for their restaurants. They used Customreceipt.com here
19) In "Our kitchen pantry" page, they designed Qr codes with the products of their countries. Postermywall is used here. Also, we got the products together using sites.google.com
20) And for the final task, our students created their our restaurants. They used some blogs or websites
All these tools very really helpful and great. I want to thank our project founder and partners who we worked collaboratively with on behalf of my students. See you in other nice projects next year!
Best regards,
Gamze
